SNAP, Jr is back! The Stage North Acting Program for youth will be holding a workshop this summer, June 12 - 16 from 10am to noon at the Franklin Arts Center auditorium. Teaching the workshop (focusing on Improvisation) is Erin Caswell.
Erin describes the workshop this way: “Improv for Actors” (ages 11 through 18)
All actors need to think on their feet in order to create the best characters on stage. We will explore the world of improvisation through exercises, games, and teamwork. All experience levels ages 11 through 18 and at the end of class, we will perform a short, improvised play.
Erin Caswell is a professional actor and director and has a BA in Theatre Arts from Augsburg University in Minneapolis. The Augsburg Theatre program allowed her to work with local veteran professionals from the Guthrie Theater, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, and Theater Mu. After graduating she interned at The Playwright’s Center in Minneapolis, performed in the Minnesota Fringe Festival, and acted in many local Twin Cities productions. Erin recently returned to Minnesota after nine years working in the Chicago theatre community. Her work while in Chicago included stage combat, voice, and performing at The Second City and with The Shrews Improvisation. Her local credits are Sister Act, Brighton Beach Memoirs (BCT) and Sweet Charity at Stage North.
