Level 1 Early Stages: Fostering Creativity, Structure, and Expression - 606010 [UK Time Zone]

This Level 1 session marks the starting point of our Early Stages Teacher Training pathway, designed to support Stagecoach teachers working with our youngest learners at the beginning of their creative journey. Through a blend of practical tools and inspirational strategies, we’ll explore how to build a nurturing, structured, and imaginative environment where children can develop confidence, creativity, and communication.

We’ll clarify the core roles and responsibilities of an Early Stages teacher and provide a wealth of content—from warm-ups and themed lesson ideas to performance production and age-appropriate stagecraft. Learn how to bring the Stagecoach Educational Framework to life through engaging and inclusive activities across dance, drama, and singing.

The session also includes guidance on making reasonable adjustments for individual needs, using social scripts, visual timetables, and positive behaviour cards to support every learner. We'll explore effective behavioural management strategies—including the use of simple signals—to maintain a calm, focused classroom while encouraging expressive freedom.

Teachers will leave equipped with practical, adaptable resources, refreshed ideas, and a strong foundation for delivering joyful, structured, and inclusive Early Stages lessons. You’ll also have the opportunity to share good practice, complete a short questionnaire, and connect with fellow educators to further enhance your teaching toolkit.

This foundational Level 1 training is ideal for both new and experienced Early Stages teachers looking to deepen their impact and inspire their youngest students from the very first session.

Important Advisory on Course Levels

Please note: The term "level" as used in our teacher training courses refers solely to Stagecoach's internal framework of professional development. It is designed to indicate progression within our own three-tier training structure and should not be interpreted as representing a formal qualification level. These internal levels are not equivalent to primary qualifications and do not correspond to any nationally recognised attainment levels as defined by Ofqual or any other awarding body. By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge that you understand and accept this distinction.
