This Level 1 session is the first step in our Acting Teacher Training pathway, designed to ignite confidence, creativity, and connection in your Stagecoach drama classes. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refresh your foundation, this energising and practical training will provide the tools and inspiration to deliver imaginative, inclusive, and impactful lessons.
Fostering Creative Courage will explore the key roles and responsibilities of a drama teacher while equipping you with a practical toolkit of warm-ups, inclusive games, and structured strategies to engage every student—from the shyest beginner to the most confident performer.
Through a combination of vocal and physical warm-up content, inspirational teaching methods, and clear links to the Stagecoach Educational Framework, you’ll learn how to plan lessons that stretch and challenge students appropriately, maintain pace and structure, and create a safe, positive space where creativity can thrive.
You’ll also explore cool-down techniques to reflect and ground learning, and take part in a collaborative opportunity to share good practice with fellow teachers—gaining fresh ideas, renewed energy, and a deeper understanding of your impact as a drama educator.
This foundational Level 1 training is perfect for both new and experienced teachers looking to build their confidence and deliver bold, imaginative, and purposeful acting lessons that nurture creative courage in every student.
