This Level 2 training session is designed to equip Stagecoach teachers with practical, compassionate strategies for creating inclusive, supportive, and structured environments for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Building on foundational awareness, this session dives into real-world classroom tools and reasonable adjustments that can make a meaningful difference to the learning experience of neurodivergent students. You’ll explore how to use a wide range of supportive resources, including:

Training facilitated by: Louise Powell
Louise is the Stagecoach SEND Support Consultant, and currently a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) for a leading performing arts school with 10 years experience in the state education sector. After graduating university with a degree in Psychology in 2013 and working as a 1 to 1 teaching assistant she then went on to complete her teacher training and then her SENCo qualification in 2021. Louise believes strongly in the power of performing arts and the platform and confidence boost it gives to young people. Louise believes that learning is a lifelong process and is keen to work with others to find strategies that are both practical and effective when supporting Neurodiverse students. Her goal is to make inclusive arts practice accessible to all.
