Level 3 SEND: Enhancing Support and Strategies, Advancing Practice for Empowering SEND Learners 606010 [UK Time Zone]

Tue 13 Apr 2027 6:15 PM - 8:15 PM BST Online, Teams

This in-depth, advanced training session is designed for Stagecoach teachers who already have a foundational understanding of SEND and are ready to deepen their expertise and fine-tune their classroom strategies. With a strong focus on applied practice, the session explores evidence-informed tools and techniques to create truly inclusive, regulated, and learner-centred environments.

Participants will explore and evaluate a range of advanced support strategies and resources, including:

  • Visual Support Systems: Stagecoach visual timetables, Now/Next/Then boards, word mats

  • Emotional Regulation Tools: Zones of Regulation posters,  fidget tools, and time-out strategies

  • Cognitive and Sensory Supports: Rest break and brain break cards, auditory cues, use of ear defenders, chunking tasks, and masking awareness

  • Self-Regulation and Autonomy: Establishing designated calming spaces, planning rest breaks with intention, and supporting learners in managing their own needs

  • Classroom Practice: Pre-teaching, pre-warning, routine building, and integrating call-and-response techniques to sustain engagement and understanding

Throughout the session, teachers will engage with practical case scenarios, collaborate with peers, and reflect critically on their current approaches. The aim is to equip educators with refined strategies that respond to the diverse needs of neurodivergent students, while maintaining the creative and dynamic spirit of Stagecoach.

This is a high-level, practice-led session that challenges participants to think strategically, plan proactively, and support every learner to thrive with clarity, consistency, and compassion.
