We'll explore the core aims and objectives of dance within the Stagecoach framework and clearly define the roles and responsibilities of a dance teacher. From effective warm-ups and stretch, strength, and conditioning content to corner work, choreography and technique-based activities, you'll gain the knowledge to plan purposeful sessions that build skill and expressive movement in every student.
Discover how to structure your lessons with a strong rehearsal formula, develop engaging activities that support progression, and link your content directly to the Educational Framework. We'll also cover how to end sessions meaningfully with cool-downs and moments of reflection, ensuring a full-circle learning experience.
This session includes space for sharing good practice with fellow teachers to reflect on your learning. As the entry point to our Level 1–3 training series, this foundational session will set you up with everything you need to begin delivering dynamic, inspiring dance lessons that truly foster creative courage.

Important Advisory on Course Levels
Please note: The term "level" as used in our teacher training courses refers solely to Stagecoach's internal framework of professional development. It is designed to indicate progression within our own three-tier training structure and should not be interpreted as representing a formal qualification level. These internal levels are not equivalent to primary qualifications and do not correspond to any nationally recognised attainment levels as defined by Ofqual or any other awarding body. By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge that you understand and accept this distinction.
