Level 1 Singing: Inspiring Activities, Techniques, and Structure for Dynamic Singing Lessons - 606010

Tue 12 Jan 2027 6:15 PM - 8:15 PM GMT Online, Zoom

This Level 1 session marks the first stage of our Singing Teacher Training pathway, designed to lay the foundations for confident, creative, and structured singing lessons at Stagecoach. Whether you're new to teaching singing or looking to revisit the essentials, this training will equip you with practical tools and fresh inspiration to lead engaging and inclusive sessions.

We’ll cover the key aims and objectives of singing within the Stagecoach framework and explore the core roles and responsibilities of a singing teacher. Learn how to build effective sessions using vocal and physical warm-ups, inclusive games and activities, and age-appropriate techniques that encourage every student to find and use their voice with confidence.

You’ll also discover how to align your content with the Stagecoach Educational Framework, structure your lessons for progression, and manage pace and delivery for maximum impact. The session includes cool-down strategies for vocal care and classroom reflection, as well as opportunities for discussion and sharing of good practice.

This foundational training is the first step before progressing to Levels 2 and 3, where we’ll explore more advanced techniques and repertoire. Level 1 will give you everything you need to begin—or reinvigorate—your singing teaching journey with clarity, confidence, and creative courage.

Important Advisory on Course Levels

Please note: The term "level" as used in our teacher training courses refers solely to Stagecoach's internal framework of professional development. It is designed to indicate progression within our own three-tier training structure and should not be interpreted as representing a formal qualification level. These internal levels are not equivalent to primary qualifications and do not correspond to any nationally recognised attainment levels as defined by Ofqual or any other awarding body. By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge that you understand and accept this distinction.
