Join us at Stagecoach Shirley for an exciting, action-packed Teacher Training Day filled with inspiration, collaboration and practical tools to take straight back into the classroom. Together we’ll explore team building, behaviour management, SEND support, planning ahead across terms, and adapting teaching styles for different age groups.

AGENDA

9:30amWelcome & Team Building
Starting the day with collaborative activities, connection and setting intentions for the year ahead.

10:00am – Managing Different Age Groups & Teaching Styles
Exploring how to adapt delivery for different ages, balancing firm and warm approaches, and understanding that learning with younger children can sometimes be messy, and that’s okay!

11:00am – Behaviour Management & SEND Support
Practical strategies for behaviour support, understanding dysregulation, recognising how it can affect us in the moment, and ways to help regulate and support children positively.

12:00pm – Games, Activities & Classroom Engagement
Interactive ideas, creative exercises and engaging activities to energise classes and support learning outcomes.

1:00pm – Lunch Break [Lunch provided on the day]

1:30pm – Planning Ahead & Collaborative Teaching
Looking at forward planning across terms, sharing resources, communicating effectively within teaching teams, and working collaboratively while respecting each other’s strengths and spaces.

2:30pm – Case Studies, Troubleshooting & Q&A
Working through real-life scenarios, problem solving together, sharing ideas and creating open discussion opportunities.

3:15pm – Final Reflections & Resources
A chance to reflect, celebrate achievements from the day and leave with a plethora of practical resources to take home.

3:30pm – Finish

The day will focus on working collaboratively as one team, listening, contributing, sharing practice and ideas and respecting each other’s strengths to create positive outcomes together. We’ll also look at supporting dysregulation in children, understanding how this can affect us in the moment, and strategies to help guide children back to regulation with confidence and care.

Expect engaging games and activities, real-life case studies, troubleshooting sessions, a collaborative Q&A, and a plethora of resources to take home at the end of the day. A positive, uplifting and supportive day designed to empower every teacher and celebrate the joy of learning.

Rob Anderson - Training & Business Development Manager

Rob Anderson is our Global Teacher Training and Development Manager who has 14 years experience teaching in Stagecoach Schools. He trained as a dancer at London Studio Centre gaining a BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance, and at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama achieving an MA in Classical Acting. Rob has taught GCSE Dance, GCSE Drama and GCSE Expressive Arts, Ballet, Tap, Modern and Contemporary at a London Stage School, and UAL Level 3 Performing and Production Arts and UAL Level 4 Professional Diploma in Performance at a Further Education College. He recently graduated Rose Bruford College achieving a Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education: Theatre and Performing Arts.
