LIVE Teacher Training Day - Stagecoach Witney [606010]

Sun 11 Oct 2026 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Wood Green School, OX28 1DX

Join us for an engaging and practical Teacher Training Day designed to refresh teaching practice, build confidence and provide inspiring strategies to take straight back into the classroom. Throughout the day we'll explore energetic delivery, classroom presence, practical modelling, maintaining high standards, creating engaging show terms and supporting both teachers and assistants to work effectively together.

AGENDA

10:00am – Welcome & Setting the Tone
An introduction to the day, sharing objectives, reconnecting as a teaching team and establishing what outstanding Stagecoach teaching looks and feels like.

10:30am – Bringing Lessons to Life
Exploring the importance of energetic teaching, practical demonstration and leading by example. We'll look at how modelling activities creates excitement, builds confidence and encourages students to fully engage, rather than simply explaining from the sidelines.

11:30am – Classroom Presence & High Expectations
Developing confidence in classroom leadership, maintaining clear boundaries with kindness, encouraging positive behaviour and creating safe, respectful learning environments where students remain focused and engaged.

12:30pm – Lunch Break (Lunch provided on the day)

1:15pm – Making Show Terms Exciting
Looking at planning across the show term, motivating students to take ownership of their learning and keeping rehearsals enjoyable, purposeful and rewarding—even as performance deadlines approach.

2:15pm – Sustaining Energy Under Pressure
Practical strategies for maintaining enthusiasm throughout busy show terms, managing challenging moments professionally, avoiding unproductive conflict and keeping the classroom atmosphere positive during high-pressure periods.

3:00pm – The Role of the Assistant Teacher
Exploring how assistants can play a more active role within lessons, supporting lead teachers through practical demonstration, encouragement and positive engagement, particularly within Early Stages and younger classes.

3:45pm – Reflections & Q&A

4:00pm – Finish

This training day is all about refreshing great teaching practice and celebrating what makes Stagecoach lessons memorable. We'll explore how energetic delivery, confident modelling and positive classroom leadership can transform the student experience, helping every child feel inspired to participate, learn and grow.

We'll also focus on maintaining high expectations with warmth and consistency, creating motivating show terms that encourage students to practise independently, and ensuring both teachers and assistants feel confident in delivering engaging, playful and purposeful lessons.

Expect practical demonstrations, collaborative discussions, real-life teaching scenarios and plenty of ideas you can implement immediately in your own classroom. Whether you're an experienced teacher looking to refresh your practice or newer to teaching and building your confidence, you'll leave feeling motivated, equipped and ready to inspire your students.

Note: Please email Robert.Anderson@trafalgar.global for any dietary requirements for the lunch provided on the day.
