We are Feled (aka Kat and Meah), woolcarsfters and sauna-lovers collaborating with Stanmer Sauna Garden for a sauna hat making workshop! Using needle felting techniques we will decorate beautiful designs onto hand felted wool.

Sauna hats are traditional to the sauna cultures of central europe, used for centuries to protect the head from overheating in the sauna. The ancient craft of felting from raw wool is fun, therapeutic , and engaging with a heritage natural material which humans have used for thousands of years. Together we will practice both wet felting and needle felting techniques (onto hand-felted wool templates, hand-made by us) to create and decorate your very own felted sauna hat to take home. Whether you're a felting expert or a complete beginner, join us for creativity crafting and fun :)

All materials needed for the workshop will be provided :) You will also have a one hour sauna to show off your new hat!
