A New Rope Jam at The Kink Store
Come join us for the first jam back after the summer break. A great opportunity to shake off the rust, reconnect with the community, and get ropes back in your hands.
This jam is organized by Davide, Gina, and Ben, and is intended as a space to practice, learn, play, and spend time with community in a familiar, well-equipped venue. This is a play-possible rope jam: rope practice, scenes, experimentation, and broader kink play are welcome within the norms of consent, negotiation, and care.
The Kink Store is a purpose-built dungeon and play space, fully stocked with classic and creative dungeon furniture. The space includes an 80-foot suspension truss with suspension rigging points throughout, St. Andrew’s Crosses, padded spanking benches, mattresses, plush couches, and dedicated aftercare lounge areas. It’s a comfortable, well-designed space that supports both rope-focused work and broader kink exploration.

Consent & etiquette (VERY IMPORTANT)
- A brief consent talk will happen early in the evening
- Ask before touching, tying, or engaging - consent is clear, enthusiastic, and ongoing
- Stay sober enough to give and receive consent
- Do not interrupt scenes in progress
- If you need support at any point, please reach out to an organizer or the house manager
Every Rope Jam includes a consent talk at the start of the evening. We cover the FRIES framework and what it looks like in practice in a space like this. FRIES stands for: Freely given, Reversible, Informed, Engaged, Specific.
- Freely given - Consent is only real when it comes without pressure, guilt, or repeated asking. That applies to strangers and partners alike. If someone needs time to think, that is not an invitation to persuade them.
- Reversible - Anyone can change their mind at any point - before, during, or after something has already started. A yes given earlier does not lock anyone in. Respect a change of mind without question or pushback.
- Informed - People can only consent to what they actually understand. Be honest about your experience level, your intentions, and anything relevant to someone's safety before engaging with them. Stay sober enough to both give and read consent clearly. If you are under the influence of substances, do not engage in rope or BDSM play, and inform potential play partners so they can make their own informed choice.
- Engaged - Look for genuine enthusiasm, not just the absence of a no. Pay attention to body language, eye contact, and energy. If there is any doubt about whether someone is fully present and willing, the answer is no. If you receive a no, thank the person and do not ask again.
- Specific - Yes to one thing is not yes to anything else. Ask before escalating. Ask before touching. In this space, consent is explicit and ongoing - not assumed.
