NEW BEGINNINGS ::

We gather to dance and celebrate this magical time! We stand at a Threshold ~ the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. This is a powerful and potent time, buzzing with possibility. As 2022 lets go it's final moments you too will be guided to release all that 2022 has held and turn your heart to welcome the coming of a new year. Let music and sound carry you into 2023. Through shamanic guided dance, drum journeying, yummy chai, reflection and visioning, we gather to shake off 2022, harvest the gifts, and then consciously step into 2023, vibrant and awake. 

We call in Eagle medicine. Eagle teaches us to see the big perspective from way up high, and to usher in confidence, strength and grace. This is the place of New Beginnings, sunrise, birth, the spark of life, where visions and dreams are born into being. What are you ready to let go of? What old skin are you shedding? What dreams are longing to be lived and expressed through you? What New Beginnings will you embrace in 2023? 

This event is open to all genders, all bodies, all ages. Kids are free, teenagers by donation. Kids are welcome if they can sit quietly for circle, ritual and reflection. Limited tickets are available to keep the event intimate. This is a sober event: no alcohol or other intoxicants. Refunds are available if the event is postponed or cancelled. All other sales are final.

DANCE WITH RIVER :: River guides a deep movement journey through Body and Soul. Nature is our co-guide as we reconnect with the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Spirit. Together we shake off the shackles that bind us. Move at your own pace. Come as you are. We co-create a safe space for you to be your authentic self.

DRUM JOURNEYING :: is an ancient practice of journeying into trance with the aid of a drum to bridge matter and Spirit. In this expanded state we seek insight and invite healing to integrate back into the physical world. Through the regular, steady beat of the drum the mind lets go of ordinary (limited) thinking and expands to encompass the realm of active imagination where matter and Spirit meet. River was introduced to drum journeying 18 years ago with Leo Rutherford, Dawn Russell and Lorraine Grayston at Eagleswing School of Shamanic Medicine, UK. She continues to learn about and practice nature rituals with her mentor and friend Acahk Miskinâk Iskwêw (Corinna Stevenson) and is guided by Intuition. 

WHAT TO BRING ::

*Your favourite mug for Chai (we have some extra mugs if needed)

*Comfortable clothes to move in & warm layers for sitting/ lying down

*Altar Offering: bring objects/ pictures that evoke Release and New Beginnings

*Blanket(s) to lie on and wrap yourself in

*Journal/ paper and pen

*Water bottle

*Cushion to sit on

*(Optional) coloured pencils/ pastels/ art materials

*No phones. Please leave your phone in the car or at home

INTEGRATION :: We recommend you to take time off after this ritual to rest, restore and integrate. Spend time in nature, eat good foods, hydrate and nurture your body-heart-soul.
