Celebrate St Brigid’s Day with a curated series of evening experiences across Longford, blending tradition, creativity and modern ritual.

The weekend opens on Thursday 29 January with Brigid’s Cross Making at Athena Gallery & Café, with two relaxed sessions at 6pm and 7.30pm, led by local facilitator Deirdre Orme. Using locally gathered reeds, you’ll create your own cross while hearing the stories and folklore behind this enduring tradition.

Later that evening, head to PV’s Red Room from 6.30–8pm for a Make-Up Demonstration, where contemporary beauty meets seasonal inspiration. From 8pm onwards, PV Fallon’s hosts the St Brigid’s Cocktail Launch, with music from Simon Cooke and late-night atmosphere to mark the weekend in style.

The celebrations continue on Sunday 1 February at Be Well Studios with a Sound Bath Taster Session from 6–7.30pm — a calm, restorative experience to close the weekend, helping you reset and welcome the new season.

Each event can be booked individually, and you can mix and match to create your own St Brigid’s Day weekend experience.

The events are free, open to everyone, and designed to celebrate creativity, connection and the turning of the year.
