Wed 29 Jan 2025 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Tonic House at Sweat and Tonic, M5V 0V2
Description
Join David Ingram, Founder of Sweat and Tonic, and Craig Stanghetta, co-founder of the hospitality brand Banda Volpi and founder/creative director of acclaimed design studio Ste Marie, for an illuminating conversation at Sweat and Tonic’s second location The Well. Together, they will explore the intersection of hospitality, fitness, and wellness, and how design transforms spaces into unforgettable destinations.
David Ingram, the visionary behind Sweat and Tonic, has redefined urban wellness by blending boutique fitness, mindful living, and exceptional hospitality. Under his leadership, Sweat and Tonic has become a trailblazer in creating community-driven wellness hubs, with its third location soon to open in Yorkville.
Craig Stanghetta, whose Ste Marie studio has designed iconic spaces across North America—including the celebrated Monos flagship on Ossington and Vancouver’s Rosewood Hotel Georgia—brings a distinctive perspective on crafting environments that are deeply rooted in narrative and emotion. Ste Marie is also the creative force behind Sweat and Tonic’s Yorkville expansion, using design to bridge fitness and hospitality in a way that feels authentic and immersive.
This talk will be moderated by Odessa Paloma Parker. Odessa is an award-winning writer, editor, stylist, educator, public speaker and brand strategist based in Toronto. During this engaging discussion, they will unpack the principles of "The Hospitality Effect," exploring how fitness and wellness spaces can transcend their functional purpose to become immersive destinations. By blending elements of hospitality, thoughtful design, and a deep understanding of human connection, they will share how these spaces can foster a sense of community, enhance guest experience, and redefine what it means to create meaningful environments in the fitness and wellness industry.
This event is a must-attend for anyone passionate about the future of design in wellness and hospitality.
