Looking for expert guidance in leading impactful professional development at scale?

This in-depth, targeted training will show you the way, with a focus on developing and implementing an evidence-informed professional development program that combines group rehearsal (deliberate practice), lesson drop-ins and instructional coaching.

Delivered by Steplab’s team of PD experts.

Who is this for?

  • Leaders of professional development in a phase, department, school or organisation

  • Headteachers or organisation leaders with oversight of PD in their setting

What will I learn?

  • How to upskill leaders and unite them around a shared vision for improving teaching and learning

  • How to visit lessons and identify meaningful foci for professional development

  • How to use group rehearsal (deliberate practice) to develop teaching techniques and coaching expertise

  • How to build culture and embed training through lesson drop-ins and coaching

  • How to monitor, sustain and improve professional development

How will I learn?

In this highly practical training day, you’ll dig into the theory of effective professional development, engage with models, and script and rehearse training that you can take back and deliver in your school(s).

You’ll also gain access to Steplab’s Implementation Roadmap — a bespoke online course designed to support you and your team to hone your leadership skills and run a PD program that works in your context.
