The 2027 Enchanted Prom - A Regency Ball

One Night. Infinite wonder. The Enchanted Prom - A Regency Ball, where imagination meets elegance and every dance tells a story.

This coming April, society's most anticipated gathering returns.

Beneath the starlit splendor of the Indiana Roof Ballroom, gentlemen and ladies will gather for an evening of grace, merriment, and unforgettable delight. Inspired by the timeless charm of Jane Austen and the wonder-filled imagination of Anne Shirley, The Enchanted Prom invites homeschooled students ages 14-20 to step beyond the ordinary and into a world where friendship flourishes, music fills the air, and every dance becomes part of a story worth telling.

From the first grand entrance to the final notes at midnight, expect an evening filled with beauty, laughter, and more than a little enchantment.

Imagined and designed for homeschooled high school students and their guests, age 14-20, as of April 27, 2027.

• Formal sit-down 4-course dinner served by wait staff at the Indiana Roof Ballroom, Indianapolis's crown jewel of elegance. 
• Reserved table seating with friends and guests
• Heritage dancing led by renowned caller Lori Borre, whose engaging instruction helps every guest participate with confidence.
• Award-winning DJ Iman Tucker, official DJ of the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Hoosiers, keeps the dance floor alive with energy, excitement, and crowd-favorite hits.
  
• Magazine Cover Photo Booth: gather your friends and become stars of your own Regency-themed magazine cover. 

More Than a Dance

• No Dance Partner Required: Most people come with their friend groups. Come with friends, come alone, or come with a date. Everyone is included in the fun.
• No Dance Experience Required: Practice sessions and live instruction make it easy for first-time dancers to join with confidence.
• Structured Dancing Creates Connection: Heritage dancing brings people together naturally.  Unlike traditional proms that often revolve around couples, everyone participates throughout the evening, creating opportunities for friendship, laughter, and shared memories.
• Large Ballroom with Room to Move: Ticket sales are intentionally limited so every guest has plenty of space to dance and participate comfortably.
• Historic Venue: Experience an unforgettable evening beneath the starlit grandeur of the Indiana Roof Ballroom.

How the Evening Unfolds

6:00-6:20 Our red carpet invites you to mingle and snap photos with friends and family in front of our Enchanted Prom Step-and-Repeat banner.

6:20- The Ballroom Opens. As the doors swing wide, guests are welcomed into a world of elegance beneath a starlit sky. Find your table, greet old friends and new, enjoy a refreshing mocktail, or gather your companions for a keepsake portrait at the Magazine Cover Photo Booth. The room hums with anticipation as conversation, laughter, and music fill the evening air.

7:00 - Welcome, Grace, The Doxology Sing, and Dinner Served, Indiana Roof Style. Be Our Guest.

After Dinner ( ~7:50-8:00), the dance begins. Lose yourself in the music, the laughter, and the enchantment of a night you'll never forget.

8 PM - Midnight 

The grand assembly is called to order.

Join hands, take your place in the set, and enjoy an evening of lively Regency-inspired heritage dancing. Under the guidance of Lori Borre, the ballroom comes alive with movement, laughter, and fellowship.

As the evening unfolds, DJ Iman Tucker takes the celebration into the present, filling the ballroom with energy and excitement while keeping the dance floor bustling until the final moments of the night.

From lively heritage dances to contemporary favorites, every moment is designed to bring friends together and create memories that will be cherished long after the final bow.

Yes! At 11:20, parents are welcome to join us on the upper level to observe the festivities. Senior Promenade and Senior/Parent Dance details TBD. 

12:00 - At the stroke of midnight, the rainstorm ends the evening with "What a Wonderful World."

Dress Code

Formal Attire (Black Tie or Matching Dark Suit for gentlemen. Formal floor-length gowns for ladies.) Dress to dazzle, dance the night away, and let the magic unfold.

Before the Ball

Watch for opportunities leading up to the Enchanted Prom, including First Fridays, practice sessions, and other special events. They're a wonderful way to learn the dances, meet fellow attendees, and step onto the ballroom floor with confidence.

A Safe and Welcoming Environment
The Enchanted Prom is supported by a team of adult volunteers and chaperones who are present throughout the evening. With approximately one adult for every 10-15 attendees, we strive to provide a well-organized, safe, and enjoyable experience for students, parents, and guests alike.
