Christmas Candlelight - Orlando, FL
For more than 100 years, the School of Music’s jubilant choirs and musicians have been captivating audiences with its annual, breathtaking performance, which has evolved into an evening dedicated to sacred music from various cultural and religious traditions celebrated during the holidays including beloved audience carols sung together, surrounded by choristers.
The 2025 Christmas Candlelight Concerts will showcase more than 150 student musicians including the Stetson University Concert Choir (SATB), Hatter Choir (TTBB) and the Stetson Chorale (SSAA) conducted by Dr. Pingyi Song and Dr. Timothy Peter as well as instrumentalists from the Chamber Orchestra and Symphonic Band. Dr. Boyd Jones will be the featured organist. The musical repertoire for 2025 continues a tradition inclusivity and a welcoming spirit with the warmth of beautifully Lee Chapel (Dec.3-5) and the grand and magnificent First United Methodist Church in Orlando (Sat. Dec. 6). As each annual concert concludes, “Silent Night” will sung by multiple choirs as they light candles and close the performance.
