Sacred Concert: Dancing Spirit | Monteverdi, Fernández, & Vivaldi | Third Coast Baroque & Concert Choir
Third Coast Baroque (TCB) features “Chicago's most accomplished period instrumentalists and singers” (Chicago Tribune). Under the artistic direction of Rubén Dubrovsky, TCB reframes how audiences experience early music through context, collaboration, and community.
Third Coast Baroque’s weeklong residency of coachings, conversations, and masterclasses will culminate in a public performance, Dancing Spirit, at 7:30pm on Saturday, February 12. This concert will highlight the Latin American and African roots of 17th century Baroque music and include works by Italian composer Claudio Monteverdi and Portuguese-Mexican composer Gaspar Fernandez. The grand finale of the concert will be Third Coast Baroque’s collaboration with the students of Stetson University in Antonio Vivaldi’s iconic Gloria.
Please note that tickets purchased online are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Guests are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing. Recording of any kind without express permission of Stetson University is strictly prohibited.
