Stow on the Wold/Donnington Brewery - 6.5 miles

Please join us on this summer evening walk, starting and finishing in the beautiful Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds.

Tickets for this walk are £10. This payment is non-refundable. It will only be refunded in the event of a non-weather related cancellation.
Tickets/spaces for this walk/event are pre booked and pre paid, please don't just turn up on the day with cash.

Highlights include -

- Stow-on-the-Wold.
- Donnington Brewery. Bring cash, they have an honesty box and you can purchase from a selection of beers. We usually sup one sitting by the lake.
- 1646 Battle of Stow on the Wold site. I will bore you with some of the history of this English Civil War battle.
- 1300 year old Yew tree. We will pay our respects to this majestic old tree in the grounds of Broadwell Church.

- The main highlight and probably the most photographed door in the Cotswolds - The church door at the rear of St Edward's Church, Stow. This door is believed to have inspired J.R.R Tolkien's Doors of Durin in Lord of the Rings.

Also lots of lovely rolling countryside.

Dress accordingly, we will be crossing some possibly muddy fields, especially around the Battlefield site.
Bring clothing layers and snacks/water to sustain you. And most importantly don't forget that headtorch.
