Season Launch

Join us as we officially kick off the new season at St Francis RFC with a full day of rugby, food, sponsors, club traditions and a few drinks afterwards.

We’ll be taking on Seaford 2s in a pre-season friendly, with kick-off at 2:30pm.

The day will also see us unveil our new kit, welcome and thank our club sponsors, and launch a new St Francis tradition. Every member and player who has completed at least one season with the club will receive their first St Francis pin, recognising their commitment to the club.

Before kick-off, we’ll hold a minute’s silence in memory of Krango, Annette Holt and Brian Trill, with their families invited pitchside as we remember three people who have meant a great deal to St Francis.

The day

12:30pm – Club set-up and sponsor photos with the new shirts
1:30pm – Players warm up
2:20pm – Families pitchside, followed by a minute’s silence
2:30pm – St Francis RFC v Seaford 2s
4:30pm – Post-match food and match-day presentations, including MOTM  and DOTD
5:45pm – Sponsor photos with players in their new stash
6:15pm – St Francis pin presentations
7:00pm – Season Launch speeches from Vince and the Club Captain
From 7:15pm – Bar open, drinking games welcome and a proper St Francis evening!

Food

We’re currently planning to have curry from Mazza after the match, subject to final confirmation.

Food ticket: £8 per person
