The new St. Gertrude Community Choir presents its inaugural concert, a performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s spectacular Solemn Vespers of the Confessor with orchestra. The concert will include favorites, such as his famous Ave verum corpus, and little known gems, such as Johann Christian Bach’s jubilant Organ Concerto in G Major. This new initiative and choir bring together members of the St. Gertrude, archdiocesan, and Greater Cincinnati communities to present one of the masterpieces of the Roman Catholic Church’s treasury of sacred music.
