Catholics from around the country will unite on September 30, 2023, in Washington, D.C., for the Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage—a full-day, national event hosted by the Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph. The event includes life-changing talks, Mass, adoration, and the rosary.

St. Gertrude Church is participating in pilgrimage to thank God and his Blessed Mother for all the blessings over the first 100 years of our parish’s history and to continue to invoke God’s grace and Mary’s intercession as we move forward into the next 100 years. We will also visit the national shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

ITINERARY

Thursday, September 28

• 6 a.m. - Depart from St. Gertrude Church 
• Visit the National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg, MD, on the way to Washington, D.C.

Friday, September 29*

• Morning - Visit the National Mall 
• Afternoon - Tour the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land and the St. John Paul II National Shrine

Saturday, September 30*

• 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. - Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage event at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (full day schedule available at rosarypilgrimage.org/faq/#schedule)

Sunday, October 1

• 8 a.m. - Mass and then immediately depart for Cincinnati

*Friday or Saturday we will visit the Dominican House of Studies, where all the novices study after leaving St. Gertrude Priory.

We will be staying at Comfort Inn Ballston. After you register for the pilgrimage, you will receive a confirmation email with a link and instructions to reserve your hotel room.
