Autumn Family Forest Walk

Autumn is a good time to be in the woods. The leaves are turning, the air has a crispness to it, and the forest floor is full of things worth picking up or flipping over.

Join us for a slow, family-friendly walk through Lackner Woods. We'll move at the pace of the smallest legs and stop wherever something catches someone's eye. For kids who like a mission, we'll hand out a fall-in-the-forest scavenger hunt. No competition, no prizes. Well, I guess the prizes are the things we find along the way.

The walk is really an excuse to be in the same outdoor place as other families. Most parents surveyed have said two things: they want their kids outside more, and they'd like a few more friends. This morning is meant to help with both.

This is Stick & Stone Collective's second gathering, building on our first nature play morning at Monarch Woods. We're a new community in Kitchener-Waterloo helping families to get outside together and find their people.
