What you'll learn: Inspired by Kandinsky's joyous painted circles on squares, we will embrace this playful approach to colour using fine merino wool and the wet felting process. Focus on Colour choices, creating a background square, handling wool fibre. Wetting out. Adding a circle / spiral. Surface embellishment. Felting and Fulling.

Materials you'll need to bring with you: Two old bath towels, approx. 50cm x 80cm.
Artist Profile - About your Tutor: Barbara is passionate about Australian merino wool and the wet felting process, transforming natural fibres into works of Art. Her lifelong experience of textiles, both creating and teaching, in the UK and worldwide is extensive. Currently her contemporary Quilts inspired by Lake Ballard are touring WA with Stitched and Bound and Australia Wide with the OZQuilt Network. Barbara has taken part in the Margaret River Region Open Studios and is a volunteer at the Old Courthouse Arts Centre in Busselton. She is a member of WAFTA and the Bunbury Felting Group at SSAC.
