Introduction to Oil Painting (over 4 weeks) 

What you will learn: Learn how to paint with oil paint. You will learn essential painting techniques and complete your own painting with guidance from your tutor, Andrea Schell.
Over 4 weeks you will learn:
• How to mix paints to get the colour you want with only 6 colours and black and white.
• What brushes and painting medium to use.
• What essential tools, materials and oil paints you need to set yourself up for oil painting.
• Tips and tricks for painting with oils
• Steps from planning a composition to the finished painting.
• Working effectively and safely with oil paints.
It is highly recommended to enrol in Fundamentals of Oil Painting as a precursor to this workshop to give you foundational knowledge of how to effectively use oil painting tools and materials.

• Small canvas for final painting (will discuss in class)
