Bring your favourite photos and create in the medium that inspires you. Enjoy a relaxed, open studio environment where you can explore your own ideas,  whether you’re drawn to watercolour, acrylic, or drawing. Landscapes, portraits, abstracts,  the creative possibilities are endless. Build confidence as you experiment with new mediums or refine your skills in the styles and subjects you love.

Canvas/paper
Medium you like to use eg  acrylic paints, oils , watercolours (Our Centre has some acrylic paints to get you started)
Sketch book and idea/photo
Wear apron or painting clothes.

About the Facilitator 
Li captures the wonders of nature through magical realism, creating artworks that blur the line between fantasy and reality. Her journey as an intuitive artist has taken her across the globe in search of inspiration from diverse cultures, ancient histories, and visual traditions. Using multiple techniques, she embraces creative freedom, often experimenting with textures, colour, and materials to evoke emotion and meaning.

With a strong foundation in illustration—particularly in ancient history and mythology—Li also founded and successfully ran her own fashion design company. Her entrepreneurial and artistic achievements earned her notable recognition, including the Business Career Award by the Government of Buenos Aires, Business Woman of the Year 2011 by the Argentine Chamber of Commerce, and the Good Fashion Design Award in 2012.

Now, retired and based in Australia, she continues learning with humility and passion. Her art often features vibrant, dreamlike depictions of animals and flowers, expressing a deep emotional connection with nature. After personal loss and transition, Li channels grief into colour and creativity, using her work to transform pain into beauty. Each piece becomes a dialogue between feeling and form, grounded in resilience and love for visual storytelling.
