Join mosaic artist Christy Valli for a fun and inspiring workshop where you'll create your own unique mosaic masterpiece. Choose from a range of shapes or bring along a project of your own. With expert guidance and plenty of encouragement, you'll add a beautiful splash of colour to your home or garden while learning creative mosaic techniques.
What you will learn:
- Design principles and how mosaics can be used to artistic effects
- The basics of how to make a mosaic – suitable for different items and different conditions such as outdoors
- Which tools and glues to use
- Learn which tools are used and how to employ them for unique results

First Session: Tuesday 22/09 9am -12noon
Second Session: Tuesday 29/09 9am -12 noon
Third Session: Tuesday 6/10 9am - 12 noon
Fourth Session: Tuesday 13/10 9am -12 noon
Fifth Session: Tuesday 20/10 9am -12 noon
Level: All
Suitable Ages: 18+
Bring with you: Wear closed-in shoes and comfortable, old clothes. As the environment can get dusty you are welcome to bring/wear mask
Option 1: Ticket Price with Kit : $245.
If you are new to mosaics and would like to start on a project with everything provided, you can pay $70 for a kit which includes a vessel to work on and all materials necessary to complete the project including Mosaic tiles, glass, other mosaic pieces, Adhesive/glue, Grout , Basic tools tweezers, and safety equipment Just bring along your tile cutters. Option 2: Ticket Price without Kit (Bring Your own project) : $175
Bring your own item of choice to decorate (terracotta saucer, garden pot, mirror etc) plus tiles and any broken crockery, old jewellery, shells etc. to add individuality to your work. If you’re inspired by an idea or design, Christy can assist in its expression. Flat surfaces are easier to mosaic than vertical and we recommend you start with something that is transportable. Adhesive, grout and tiles are your responsibility, however Christy can provide advice
About the Facilitators
Christy Valli is a passionate mosaic artist with over 20 years of experience creating unique and colourful works of art. Inspired by the beauty of found objects and sustainable creativity, she specializes in transforming everyday materials into stunning mosaic pieces.
With a strong commitment to recycling and upcycling, Christy loves giving new life to discarded treasures. Her artistic philosophy is simple: "If you can glue it, I will use it!" From ceramics and glass to unexpected salvaged materials, she enjoys exploring the endless possibilities that mosaic art offers.
Known for her encouraging and supportive teaching style, Christy helps participants of all skill levels discover their own creative voice while learning the techniques and joys of mosaic making. Her workshops provide a welcoming space where imagination, sustainability, and artistry come together to create beautiful pieces for the home and garden.
Through her work, Christy continues to inspire others to see potential in the overlooked and transform the ordinary into extraordinary art.

Bring your own lunch (if all-day workshop) and water or drinks. Tea and coffee making facilities will be available. A fridge and microwave are available on site for use during workshop. We are conveniently located across from Centrepoint if you need to purchase your lunch or snacks.
