Stirling Street Arts Centre Remembrance Day Community Collaborative Artwork & Morning Tea_T4_2026

Mon 9 Nov 2026 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM AWST Studio 5 Stirling Street Arts Centre, 6230

Join us at Stirling Street Arts Centre on Monday the 9th for a special commemorative gathering that brings our community together to reflect, remember, and create.

Participants are invited to create an individual poppy using a range of artistic techniques. Each unique poppy will become part of a largescale collaborative artwork, celebrating creativity, community, and remembrance.

This facilitated workshop encourages participants of all ages and abilities to explore different artistic processes while contributing to a collective piece inspired by the symbolism of the red poppy and its connection to remembrance.

The session will be facilitated by Rachel Button, Artist in Residence at Stirling Street Arts Centre, who will guide participants through the creative process and support them in developing their individual contribution to the installation.

Throughout the event, participants can take part in this shared creative tribute and connect with others in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Morning tea will be provided, offering an opportunity to gather, share stories, and view the evolving community artwork.

This meaningful and accessible community event provides an opportunity to commemorate those who have served, contribute to a lasting tribute, and celebrate the strength, connection, and resilience of our community.

Date: 9th  November
Location: Stirling Street Arts Centre
Cost: $35
All ages welcome. No artistic experience required.
