Calling All Emerging Mural Artists!

Join artist and muralist Shahnaz Alizadeh at Stirling Street Arts Centre for a hands on mural workshop and collaborative public art opportunity.

Participants will work together to transform the feature planters in the Stirling Street Arts Centre courtyard into vibrant artworks celebrating our local environment. Inspired by the beauty of our local flora and fauna, Shahnaz will guide participants through the mural-making process, sharing practical skills and techniques while contributing to a meaningful public artwork at a recognisable Bunbury location.

Choose to participate in one workshop session:

  • Saturday 7 November - Planter 1
  • Saturday 14 November - Planter 2

Whether you're looking to develop your mural painting skills, gain experience working on a collaborative public artwork, or connect with other local artists, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn from a professional muralist and leave your mark on Bunbury's creative landscape.

During each 6hour workshop, participants will:

  • Prepare and prime planter surfaces
  • Develop and refine collaborative mural designs
  • Transfer designs onto the planters
  • Learn and apply mural painting techniques
  • Contribute to the completion of a large-scale artwork
  • Apply protective varnish finishes to ensure longevity
