Felting a Nesting Materials Pod

Sun 31 May 2026 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM Coldharbour Mill, EX15 3EE

Join Paula for a wet felting workshop creating a bird nesting materials pod. Get hands on as she guides you to make your very own pod to hang in your garden and watch the birds as they gather nesting materials from it. Skills you will learn include; wet felting over a resist,  non-felting inclusions and creating a 3D sculptural form. We’ll be felting with local Devon fibre to create a colourful pod, or one in natural hues that fits well in the environment – the choice is yours. And at the end of its life, the pod is fully biodegradable so can be added to your compost leaving no trace. This workshop is suitable for beginner and more experienced felters alike, it’s always exciting to try something different!

Paula is an experienced fibre & textile artist of many years, concentrating on felting since 2020.
