Needle Felted Brooch with Jean Fenton

In this lovely workshop with textile artist Jean Fenton, you’ll create a unique felted brooch with naturally hand-dyed wool fibres and curly locks that can be embellished with beads and a variety of textured materials. Design an abstract piece, a miniature landscape, or follow your own creative ideas to produce a truly original piece of wearable art. This relaxed and creative workshop is suitable for all abilities, and all materials are provided.

Jean Fenton is a textile artist and tutor based on the southern edge of Dartmoor, where the natural landscape and constantly changing colours of the surroundings strongly influence her work. She teaches a range of textile skills, including feltmaking, spinning, embroidery, and weaving, using local materials wherever possible. Through her workshops and classes, Jean aims to encourage creativity and help students build confidence in their own artistic abilities.
