In this workshop with textile artist Carolyn Ballard of Creative South West you will make a beautiful soft Beanie Hat working with a resist using the wet felting process. The materials you will be working with are wool tops with silk, bamboo or woolly fibre embellishments. You will learn the best way to lay out the fibres and decoration- to create a wearable piece of art and the result will be unique and as colourful or as subtle as you wish.
You will also have the chance to work with a ceramic palm washboard, which cuts down the amount of rolling to shrink down your hat to fit you.
