Art Workshop: Sound, Stillness & Creative Expression
Join us for an evening of relaxation, mindfulness and creativity in the beautiful setting of The Old Chapel.
This unique session combines guided meditation, live instrumental soundscapes and expressive painting. As you listen to the calming sounds of a variety of instruments, you will be encouraged to respond creatively through colour, mark-making and paint. The changing rhythms, tones and moods of the music will inspire your artwork, allowing you to explore personal expression in a mindful and reflective way.
The session will be led by Karen Banyon is a Sound Healer, Gong Practitioner, Teacher and founder of Lavender Oaks Sound Healing School. For much of her life, Karen and travelled extensively around the world, spending time with indigenous communities and wisdom keepers, exploring approaches to healing, spirituality and consciousness.
Karen will be bringing a carefully curated selection of sound healing instruments, each chosen for its unique vibrational qualities and sonic textures. Participants can expect an immersive sound journey featuring a rich tapestry of frequencies designed to support reflection, meditation and deep states of relaxation and consciousness.
Mrs Wraith, Head of Art, will guide expressive painting alongside Karen's use of sounds and instruments.
No previous artistic experience is required. This is an opportunity to unwind, connect with your creativity and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of both music and art in a welcoming and supportive environment.
The cost includes art materials, tuition, and a guided meditation experience.
