Christmas Tree Recycling Collection

Let St Kentigern Hospice take care of your real Christmas tree after the festive season.

Our friendly team of staff and volunteers will collect your tree from outside your home and arrange for it to be responsibly recycled, saving you the time and hassle of taking it to a recycling centre.

In return, we kindly ask for a donation to St Kentigern Hospice. Every donation will help us continue providing specialist care and support to local people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families and loved ones.

How it works

Register your real Christmas tree using this page and provide the collection address and any helpful instructions.

Please place your tree outside your property in a clearly visible and accessible location by 8am on 11th January 2027.

Collections will take place between 11th January 2027 and 22nd January 2027. We are unable to provide a specific collection time, so please leave your tree outside until it has been collected.

Collection area

We are collecting from selected postcodes across LL16, LL17, LL18, LL19, LL22 and CH8. Please check that your address is within our collection area before registering.

Before collection

Please ensure that:

• All decorations, lights, stands and pots have been removed.
• The tree is not wrapped in plastic.
• The tree is placed somewhere safe, visible and easy for our volunteers to access.
• Any gates are left unlocked and clear collection instructions are provided.

This service is for real Christmas trees only. Unfortunately, we cannot collect artificial trees, wreaths or other garden waste.
