Information About the Showcase

Join us for an inspiring afternoon of music as the talented Agar Trust Award Holders present a varied programme celebrating their achievements and showcasing the next generation of outstanding young musicians living in rural Scotland.

The concert will take place at St Laurence Church, Forres, IV36 1DX, on Saturday 22 August 2026, starting at 2pm, finishing at approximately 4pm.

A raffle will also be held, with raffle tickets available to purchase at the door.

We look forward to welcoming you for an enjoyable afternoon of exceptional music while supporting these gifted young performers.

For many youngsters in rural Scotland, accessing educational opportunities in music can be a significant challenge as it often requires long travel distances to reach courses beyond their local community.
 
The Agar Trust can provide financial support to cover the cost of additional travel and subsistence faced by youngsters (8-21) resident in rural Scotland who have demonstrated exceptional music ability or potential, and wish to take up educational opportunities beyond their local area.

The Strathcona Room will be open from 13:30 and during the interval, offering the opportunity to begin your afternoon with a refreshment or a glass of prosecco or wine before the concert begins.
