Moonlight Walk 2024

Our famous night walk is back again! 

Paint the town neon, and join your friends and family for a glow-themed, 7 mile circular route of the beautiful sights of York.

Every year the walkers enthusiasm and energy truly shines across the streets of York. This year we are once again giving you a free branded T-shirt, and feel free to come in anything neon and glowing  – there may be some prizes for the best dressed!

The iconic Moonlight Walk experience is taking place on Saturday 14 September. Check in from 7pm at the Hospice on Tadcaster Road, with the walk starting at 9pm. As usual we will be putting on great entertainment before the walk sets off, with live music from Tri-Starrs and hosting from YO1 Radio. Enjoy watching from the comfort of hay bales, and take part in a spectacular warm-up and games to get you in the zone!

Event highlights:

2. Fully marshalled routes – cheering you on each step of the way

4. Games and stalls, including sweets and hot drinks 
5. Toilet facilities along the way
6. A well-deserved bacon (or vegetarian alternative) sandwich after you have completed the walk

A welcome pack will be emailed out to you with all the event information and tips on how you can raise sponsorship.

Sign up by Friday, August 16th to guarantee your Moonlight Walk branded T-shirt! If you sign up after this date, you'll still get a St Leonard's T-shirt, however it'll be a plain blue one.

Parking on the night is at York College.

• Tickets are non-refundable.
• The event is subject to local and national restrictions. If this event has to be cancelled any entries will be transferred to the 2025 event.
• I understand that I am entering into the St Leonard's Moonlight Walk of my own choosing and no liability will be placed on the organisers for any injury sustained or any property damaged or lost whilst participating in the event.
• I confirm that I have no medical conditions which would endanger myself or others taking part.
• I understand that St Leonard’s Hospice may take photographs or film me taking part in the event and permit them to use my images for event and future promotional purposes.
• I confirm that I will agree to and follow any instructions or guidance given by the event organisers on the day.
• By signing up for the Moonlight Walk 2024, you are accepting the terms and conditions for yourself and on behalf of everyone in your party
