Rapture, Blister, Burn

Hailed as a "genius" by Variety, playwright Gina Gionfriddo's comedy tackles feminism’s foibles in what The New York Times called an, "intensely smart and immensely funny," play. Three generations of women share their raucous and refreshing approaches to navigating work, love and family. Rock star academic Catherine envies her friend Gwen who finds her domestic responsibilities less than satisfying. Meanwhile the witty and wry student Avery wonders whether she has more in common with Catherine's aging mother than any of today's modern feminists. This comedy takes a sharp look at how women, and men, find happiness and conquer disappointment.

This year we celebrate the St. Mark's Players 40th anniversary! It's a celebration of love and community - in all the forms and varieties that takes.

Are there reserved seats?

All seating is open to all ticket buyers. With the audience on three sides of the stage, there's no bad seat in the house. 

What time will the doors open?

The house will open at 7:30. 

Will there be refreshments?

Yes, we offer themed drinks and snacks during our intermission.

Where can I park?

There are paid lots near the theatre, but you can also find street parking in the nearby neighborhood if you arrive early.
