Spiritual Pilgrimage in the Footsteps of St. Francis: A Jubilee Weekend Retreat

Join us for a peaceful weekend of spiritual renewal at the beautiful, historic St. Mary of Providence Center.

This year, the Catholic Church is celebrating a truly special milestone. Pope Leo XIV has proclaimed a Jubilee Year to honor the 800th anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi. It is a beautiful invitation for all of us to slow down, refresh our spirits, and walk closer with God.

During this weekend retreat, we will walk in the footsteps of St. Francis on a meaningful "spiritual pilgrimage." By looking at the life-changing moments that transformed him, we will discover how God is inviting us to transform our own hearts today.

Meet Our Retreat Leaders

• Fr. James Watson, OFM Cap.
  Fr. James is a native Philadelphian who brings a wealth of pastoral experience and Franciscan spirituality to our weekend. He currently serves as the Catholic Hospital Chaplain for the Indiana Regional Medical Center, the Catholic Chaplain for the PA State Correctional Institution Pine Grove, and provides sacramental support for the Church of the Resurrection Parish.

• Sr. Anne Amati, OSF
  Sr. Anne is a native of Trenton, NJ, who has served over the years as an educator, facilitator, itinerant retreat director, and in congregational leadership. She spent many summers as a pilgrimage leader in Italy, traversing the streets of Rome and Assisi to guide, lecture, and celebrate with pilgrims at the sacred sites of Saints Francis and Clare.

What to Expect

• Peaceful Prayer: Plenty of quiet time for personal reflection, Adoration, and Confession.

• Beautiful Liturgies: Holy Mass on both Saturday and Sunday.

• Special Devotions: Guided Holy Hours and a serene candlelight procession.

• Warm Community: Home-cooked meals and a welcoming, supportive atmosphere.

Event Details

• When: Friday (Arrival between 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM) through Sunday (Concludes after lunch around 1:30 PM).

• Where: St. Mary of Providence Center (enjoy our gorgeous, historic grounds!).

• What's Included: Your room, bedding, towels, retreat materials, and delicious home-cooked meals.

Registration & Pricing

• Double Occupancy Room: $250 per person

• Private Room: $350 per person
