Virtuosity and Drama - TASO KIPIANI

Young Georgian classical pianist Taso Kipiani comes to St Mary’s with a programme of music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Felix Mendelssohn and Sergei Prokofiev.

A graduate of the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, Kipiani brings together three distinctive voices in the piano repertoire. Beethoven’s music offers drama, strength and emotional depth; Mendelssohn brings lyricism, elegance and quicksilver imagination; while Prokofiev adds brilliance, colour and a sharper twentieth-century edge.

Join us for an engaging solo piano recital in the resonant surroundings of St Mary’s. This programme offers a journey through contrast and character, from Classical intensity to Romantic refinement and modern vitality, performed by an emerging pianist whose playing brings freshness, focus and expressive clarity to this varied repertoire.

Entry is by a minimum donation of £5, with ticket income and any additional donations shared between the musicians and the church, supporting both live music and the life of St Mary’s.
