The Friary Brass Band presents 'A Summer Serenade' at St Nicolas Church

Last year the Friary Band played a fabulous rendition of 'Bookham on Broadway', and we are delighted to welcome them back the year for 'A Summer Serenade' in our lovely church. Do join us for an amazing musical evening with these talented musicians.

We will be raising funds for the church, and there will be wine and soft drinks available to purchase at the interval.

Over the past decade the Friary Brass Band has earned a reputation as the leading brass band in southern England. The Band was the regional champion from 2015 to 2021 and, with one exception, has qualified for the National Finals at London’s Royal Albert Hall each year since 2013, a record only a handful of bands can match. Friary has also gained a well-deserved reputation for entertainment, winning multiple entertainment prizes at the Butlin’s Mineworkers’ Championships and at the prestigious Brass in Concert contest at The Glasshouse (formerly The Sage), Gateshead. Friary is currently ranked in the top 30 bands worldwide.
