Stone Mountain Chorus 45th Anniversary Celebration - Harmony Through The Years!

In March of 1981, Stone Mountain Chorus was officially chartered as a Chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (now known as the Barbershop Harmony Society.) On Sunday, November 8th the Chorus will produce "Harmony Through The Years," celebrating 45 years as part of the Atlanta music scene, advancing our mission of “enriching lives through vocal harmony,” while entertaining audiences and educating about the uniquely American art form of barbershop quartet singing. The Chorus has a storied history in the Barbershop Harmony Society, winning two District Championships and producing numerous champion Barbershop Quartets. Under the direction of Rontray Miller II, this show will feature many of the songs from these award-winning performances.

For this show, we will return to the historic Red Clay Theatre in Downtown Duluth. This landmark theatre boasts a cozy 260-seat “Listening Room,” an ideal venue for an a cappella choral production. Enjoy an afternoon of great vocal harmony with Stone Mountain Chorus and its Barbershop Quartets!

As with all Stone Mountain Chorus productions, a portion of ticket sales is donated to FOCUS (Families of Children Under Stress, focus-ga.org.)  This charity supports children with difficult medical or developmental conditions and their families.
