THE COURSE LEADER: Don Paterson is a multi award-winning poet, writer and musician. He teaches in the school of English at the University of St Andrews and is poetry editor for the London publishers Picador.

COURSE CONTENT: This course is a study weekend where Don chooses a body of work to lecture on and workshop with you. We all sit round a big table and workshop and study the piece(s) rather like you would in a University masterclass or seminar.

WHO IS IT FOR: This course is for anyone with an interest to learn and study poetic works in depth.

LEARNING OUTCOMES: In-depth theory and knowledge about a chosen set of works which Don deems to be influential and important. All of the usual Stones Barn experience is also part of your weekend; optional singaround/reading performance on the Saturday evening, great food, time to socialise with new friends and to enjoy the surrounding countryside.
