The International Movement Against War On Tour: Birmingham

Following the phenomenal success of the International Anti-War Conference in June Stop the War has organised a national anti-war tour which will be coming to Birmingham on 22 October.

The wolf is at the door. America and its allies are ramping up their military spending. Warmongering rhetoric is now the norm in our media. Conscription is now a reality in many European countries. Britain is reeling from one cost-of-living crisis to another because of the supply shocks caused by wars it supports. Cuts to health and education, sectors already on their knees from years of austerity, are coming.

We have to meet the war drive head on. We have to demand Wages not Weapons, Welfare not Warfare. We are building for international days of action in Birmingham the the Midlands.

Come to hear:

Giorgios Gogos, Greek Dockworker part of the international strike against the arms trade
Salma Yaqoob, Activist and former Birmingham councillor
Andrew Feinstein, Author, Activist, and former ANC MP
Chris Nineham, Chief Steward of the National Palestine Demonstrations and Co-Founder of Stop the War
Andrew Murray, trade unionist, journalist, and Stop the War officer

And get involved in the anti-war movement.

The rally begins at 7pm.
