Story Hour: The Improv Musical for Families

This month, we’re inspired by The Recess Queen by Alexis O'Neill. It's got big characters, bigger feelings, and the hope that we all can grow and change. 

Expect a funny, engaging, and delightfully silly experience the whole family will enjoy. Featuring a cast of experienced improvisers, comedians, and musicians, this one-of-a-kind event celebrates storytelling, creativity, and the magic of improvisation.

Doors open at 9:40 a.m., and the show begins at 10:00 a.m. Street parking is the only option, so a little extra time is helpful. We’ll read the book aloud at the beginning of the show, and then we'll get your ideas about how to turn it into one-time-only performance. With a cozy atmosphere and a dedicated wiggle space, it’s an inviting, low-stress way to introduce young minds to the performing arts.
