Let author Felicity Yeoh transport you to the Malaysian rainforest, bringing it to life with her one-woman musical performance of The Kingdom of Tigers. With a cast of puppets and songs inspired by the story – including a humorous buddy song, a dreamy lullaby and a K-pop inspired number (all sung live!) – you’ll be introduced to the plight of endangered harimau tigers, and the importance of biodiversity and conservation.

About Felicity Yeoh
Felicity Yeoh is a British Chinese author with a background in performance and a love of storytelling. Her picture book The Kingdom Of Tigers was published in July 2026 with Harper Collins (Kumusha Books). It's about an endangered tiger seeking a safe place to live in the Malaysian rainforest, but it's also about the universal search for a home, and never giving up.

Felicity has acted in the Cambridge Footlights, volunteered as a classroom reader and been a Foyle Young Poet of the Year, FAB Prize and Penguin WriteNow short listee. She received a London Writers Award and Book Edit Prize in 2022, and her novel was shortlisted for the Mo Siewcharran Prize, Morley Prize, Headline Modern Stories and the London Library Emerging Writers Programme, among others.

The Kingdom of Tigers weaves a poignant tale of survival and hope. As deforestation threatens their home, a tiger and her cub embark on a perilous journey to find safety. When they become separated, the cub must brave the wild with the friends he meets along the way, to return to his mother and find the sanctuary he dreams of.

Tickets
Children under 12 must have an adult with them at all times. Babes in arms do not require a ticket.

Directions
We The Curious is in Millennium Square in the centre of Bristol. There is plenty of cycle parking, it is a short walk from many city centre bus stops and 20 minutes from Bristol Temple Meads. You could also get a ferry!

If you are travelling by car, the venue is within the Bristol Clean Air Zone so you may incur a fee if you use a vehicle. There is a car park directly underneath the venue, with 22 blue badge spaces and lifts for access. Use BS1 5LL to get to Millennium Square Car Park.

About the venue
We The Curious is an interactive science museum, with a cafe, shop and main entrance. Storytale Festival is on the top floor, accessible from the side door that opens out onto Millennium Square, very near the shiny metal Planetarium. Look out for our signs and volunteers who will show you where to go.

Once you are in the door, there is a lift to the top floor, with accessible toilets and a large main room (The Rosalind Franklin Room). There will be buggy parking, a cloakroom and activities in that space. The events will mainly be taking place in rooms that immediately join onto the main room. There is also a balcony space outside. We will have headphones and a sensory space.
