Teaching and learning at St Peter’s is based around the principles of our successful EYFS department. Children have the opportunity to engage with the curriculum through an approach that is rooted in choice, challenge, independence and play. We believe that we have developed an approach to learning across EYFS and KS1 that enables every child to thrive.
‘Leaders and teachers have been developing a well-researched new approach to the Year 1 curriculum. The provision makes effective use of the outdoor learning spaces and closely mirrors the most successful practice from the early years, building on the pupils’ growing independence.’
