Staithes Weekender
THE STAITHES WEEKENDER IS BACK THIS SUMMER ON 23rd, 24th and 25th JUNE.
A wonderful weekend of music, spoken word, workshops, storytelling and an exhibition of spectacular art.
We have Gigs inside and out - the Lifeboat House, The Capitain Cook, Dotty's, St Peter's Centre and The Club.
There will be an evening with Eliza Carthy at St Peter's Centre - a special occasion to see an international musician play a truly intimate gig.
Buskers will play around the village during Saturday and Sunday.
Bill’s Walks are back with guided tours of the old village.
We will have live poetry! From the seriously deep and dark to the light and funny.
Andy Blackford will read excerpts from Grant McKee's forthcoming book on Staithes. Hugely funny and insightful.
... and Win Craig, Bill Hinchley and John Cole will lead a session on the untold stories of Staithes Women.
Beautiful food, plenty of sunshine. And much more ...
This year, we have financial support from the Staithes Arts and Heritage Festival and the North York Moors National Park.
