ABOUT THE EVENT

Stratford4Europe is pleased to announce the next in an occasional season of speaker events on a European theme. Our visitor will be Brendan Donnelly, a former MEP, diplomat and writer who is now the Director of a prestigious research institute called the The Federal Trust for Education and Research. Founded in 1945 on the initiative of Sir William Beveridge, it has always had a particular interest in the European Union and Britain’s relationship with it.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

Brendan has written and broadcast widely on UK/EU relations, particularly since Brexit. He is a popular speaker who has brought his expertise to Stratford several times in the last few years. This time he will be giving us his insights into the state of play now that Britain has actually left the European Union.

He is currently leader of the Rejoin EU Party, a small political party dedicated to restoring British membership of the European Union.

EVENT INFORMATION

Admission is FREE but by ticket only.  Reserved Admission tickets can be booked in advance from TicketTailor.

Doors will open at 6.30 pm when light refreshments will be available before the 7.00 pm start. There will be a ‘Question and Answer’ session after the talk, and the event will end by 9.00 pm.

The Hall at Holy Trinity Parish Centre is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Stratford.

For those travelling by car there is parking on the roads by the Centre or the Centre is only a short walk from the main car parks in Stratford.

Stratford-on-Avon for Europe, or Stratford4Europe for short, is a local, cross-party, grass-roots organisation which since 2016 has been campaigning for Britain to play a leading role within a strong and united European Union.

Members of Stratford4Europe have a wide range of ages and backgrounds but share in common a belief that the case for the UK eventually rejoining the EU is becoming clearer every day in order to restore the benefits to our economy, our friendships, our national security and our place in the world.
