Three bands. One town.
Sounds of Stratford is the show that proves the scene everyone said didn't exist. Headline, support and opener, all with roots in Stratford-upon-Avon, all writing their own material, all on one stage on the same night.
MOSAICS headline. Fronted by a Stratford local, the band have built a reputation well beyond it, drawing Sam Fender and Kings of Leon comparisons from EARMILK, racking up BBC Introducing support across three regions, and going toe to toe with 5,000 acts to come runner-up at Isle of Wight New Blood. Their debut EP "A Guiding Lie", released in April this year and mixed and mastered by names behind Arctic Monkeys and Oasis, is a tale of inner resolve that shows exactly why. Big, anthemic, unmistakably theirs.
INKLINE bring the muscle. A Stratford band through and through, they deal in jagged guitars, driving rhythm and songwriting that doesn't flinch from disillusionment, identity and modern life. Uncompromising live, and building a name in the new wave of British alternative rock.
FLOOR 24 open. Alternative, grunge, punk and soft rock, filtered through a band that's been chasing a proper hometown stage for years. Tonight, they get one.
This is what "building routes into live music" looks like in practice: a town's own artists, headlining their own town, on their own terms.
