Stratford Theatre Company are pleased to present the Stratford Comedy Club Christmas Special at The Embankment in Stratford-upon-Avon!

And what a festive treat we have in store!

Our festive opener is the amazing Hal Cruttenden! He is one of the top stand up comedians working in the UK today, as well as being a highly accomplished writer and actor.

He has made several appearances on ‘Live at the Apollo’, ‘Have I Got News For You’ and ‘The Royal Variety Performance’ as well as regular appearances on shows such as ‘Mock the Week’, ‘The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice’ and ‘The Apprentice: You’re Fired’. He’s written and starred in his own sitcom, ‘Hal’ on Radio 4 (co-written with Dominic Holland).

Hal’s stand up shows, ‘It’s Best You Hear It From Me’, ‘Tough Luvie’, ’Chubster’ and ‘Straight Outta Cruttenden’ are available on Amazon Prime. Next we have Nik Hill, an award winning stand up and the only comedian in the WORLD, to have performed in Gloucester cathedral, so authorised by the Big Boss to bring tales of 67 years on this earth to whoever will listen; true stories of marriage, children, health and the joys of ageing, all delivered in a tongue in cheek, relaxed manner which all demographics can relate to. Enjoy.

And finally, English Comedian of the Year winner – Duncan Oakley, performs an infectious mix of musical comedy and stand up with one of his trusty guitars. He has appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and on BBC Radio 4. Duncan was voted English Comedian of the Year in 2015 and Midlands Comedian of the Year 2016. With an eye and ear for the silly, rude, playful and downright irritating occurrences of life Duncan musters up songs that not only make you laugh, they bury into the recesses of your mind and find you a humming tune with a smile on your face three days later, confused and wondering where it’s come from.
